The Azure workshop in Worcestershire — timber frames in progress on the bench

Hand-built in Worcestershire.

For over 30 years we've hand-built garden buildings worth keeping — from our own workshop in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.

The Story

Three decades of making.

We're a small family of joiners and carpenters on the edge of the Worcestershire countryside. No factory line, no flat-pack — every building is made by hand, by the same people who'll deliver it to your garden.

Thirty years in, we've not got faster. We've got fussier. We'd rather make fewer, better buildings — and stand by them for the long quiet years that follow.

The Materials

Only the right materials.

We choose every component the way we'd choose it for our own gardens — considered, never the cheapest, always the right one for the job.

Swedish Redwood & Canadian Western Red Cedar

Slow-grown, kiln-dried before it ever reaches the saw — for stability that lasts decades, not seasons.

  • 02

    EPDM rubber roofs

A single, seamless membrane. Weatherproof for decades; no felt to lift, no leaks to chase.

  • 03

Fully framed, ledged and braced doors

Hung properly on the frame and fitted with three-lever mortice locks. They open well now, and in twenty years.

  • 04

    19 mm pressure-treated cladding

Heavier and more rigid than the trade standard. Protected from the inside out before it leaves the workshop.

  • 05

    Heavy-duty floors & toughened glass

Built to take real life — boots, bikes, work. Safety glass throughout, never thin glazing.

  • 06

    Guttering as standard

Rain off the cladding, away from the base. A small thing that quietly buys you years.

How it's made

Three steps. No shortcuts.

Designed with you

Drawn to your exact specification — the size, the doors, the windows, the finish.

Hand-built in our workshop

Cut, framed and finished by our own joiners in Worcestershire. Nothing leaves until it's right.

Delivered and assembled by us

Brought to your garden and put up by the same team that built it — free within 25 miles.

Made to measure, never off a shelf.

Every Azure building is built to order — sized to your garden, finished to your taste. Doors where you want them, windows the way you like them, painted in any colour you choose.

Built to last

A building you'll hand on, not replace.

All our timber comes from sustainable, responsibly managed forests in Sweden and Canada. Every building leaves the workshop with proper joinery, proper materials and our written guarantee — because the buildings we make should still be standing, and standing well, a generation from now.
